We did it! We got every last thing out of that apartment with two days on our lease to spare. Our family and friends have been fantastic help, and I can’t imagine the past week without them!

So guys. We’re moving in THIS WEEK. I can hardly. contain. myself.

Yesterday, Andrew & I finished loading a few more things after we had our “last meal” in the apartment. Looks so empty, doesn’t it?

It was weird. But it was a good weird.

And once we’d packed up everything and finished our Taco Bueno and Sonic, we headed over to our new house to meet our landlord and SIGN OUR LEASE. :D Hooray!

And now it’s time to plan. ;)

The first thing I’m going to do when we get in our house is run around from room to room, do jumping jacks, and relish in the fact that the floors aren’t squeaking, and there will be no one below us to be annoyed by our footsteps. :D I will be able to start up my 30-Day Shred DVD again without fear of the lower floor’s complaints. HALLELUJAH!

The second thing I’m going to do when we move in is go out in my backyard, lay in the grass with Andrew, and look up at the clouds. I’m going to imagine what it will be like to sit there in a few months with a puppy. Now that I’m thinking about it…I think we need to purchase a hammock.

The third thing I’m going to do is climb up on that island in the kitchen, sit cross-legged, and stare at my fabulous kitchen cabinets for a good two minutes straight. My love of organization is brimming with anticipation to sort out my plates and cups and such. ;)

 And so it shall begin. The moving, the painting, the decorating, the buying of things, the selling of things, the daydreaming of my puppy…just a few more days, and we’ll be in our house, laughing about the good old days in the apartment and embracing the great new days of being in our new home. :)
