Home Sweet Oklahoma

Thank you all so much for the emails & messages checking on us. We are safe and sound, but so many people here are not, and they need your prayers. My heart is breaking for my state right now. I wasn’t born here, but Oklahoma has been my home since I was 5 years old, and it is most assuredly the home of the sweetest people on earth. The town that was struck today is the first town I lived in when my family moved here, and the place of my very first childhood memories. Please keep Moore, Oklahoma in your prayers.

When you live here, you can often become calloused to tornadoes. Most of us joke about running outside with a video camera when the sirens go off, but the damage is devastating. It has been gut-wrenching to watch the news. Our hearts are hurting for the people who lost their homes and their loved ones, especially those who have lost their children. “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted, and saves those crushed in spirit.” -Psalm 34:18

Please keep everyone affected in your prayers.
