Happy Love Day

I have always had a bit of a love-hate relationship with Valentine’s Day.

I love the excuse to give gifts, be extra friendly, and love on people. I love seeing flowers everywhere and watching sweet, awkward boys go back and forth in Target, deciding on which stuffed bear to buy their lady friends. (Side note, boys, the answer is always chocolate.)

I hate the fact that so many single people feel that Valentine’s Day is painful and essentially not about them or for them. (If you’re feeling like one of those people – come over ASAP, and I’ll make you pancakes because I love you and pancakes love you.) I also have an aversion to the color pink most of the time. (I know, I know…what kind of girl am I!?)

SO. Allow me to be mushy on every last one of you. ;) To all of you…single, dating, married, divorced, happy, hurting, or confused. I love you all. Thank you for reading my blog and sharing in my life. I am so thankful for your sweet encouragement, and I’m so glad you exist. And whether you have a significant other or not, spread some love to every one you care about because God loves us so. :)

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us…God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them…We love because He first loved us.” -1 John 4:10-12, 16, 19-

Happy Love Day from my valentines and me. :)
