Winter months can get mundane, but every now and then in Oklahoma we have a glorious glimpse of spring. Sometimes, you just need to break your baby sister out of school and take her to the zoo on these days. (Don’t tattle.) And sometimes when you do, God sends surprises your way at the zoo. ;)
We picked Wormy up after lunch and we were off!
This cutie was howling! It was the first time we’d ever heard them howl in all the years we’ve been to this zoo.
I loved this little dude.
And this big one.
I would like to request a red panda for my birthday coming up.
Meerkats are forever my favorites.
I wuv her.
When we made our way to visit the sea lions, Andrew got a phone call. Alyssa and I continued to take pictures, goof off, and try to get the sea lions make their funny roaring noises.
When Andrew came back from talking on the phone, he announced that he’d been offered a job! ONLY GOOD THINGS HAPPEN AT THE ZOO. The job was for an underwriter at a credit union that he really liked. The location is good, the people are super nice, and the job is at a great company. We praised Jesus, rejoiced and made happy phone calls, I teared up a tad, and then we took celebratory jumping pictures. ;)
So proud of you.
Thanks for taking these silly, giddy pictures of us, baby sister. :)
God is good. All the time.
Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers the past several weeks. We are so thrilled that the job search is over, but so thankful that God brought the perfect one to us in His perfect timing. Andrew went for his first day yesterday, and it went very well. We found out that with this job, he gets free pizza once a month (JEALOUSY doesn’t even begin to describe it), he gets two free movie tickets on his birthday, and we get a free yearly zoo pass. Pizza. Movies. The zoo. It’s as if God held this job in His hand specifically for us. ;) Please continue to pray for us as we adjust to a new routine and for Andrew as he goes through training.
And pray that Jack can adjust too. ;)
Happy, happy, happy Thursday. :)
